Kirsty Jordan
Director and FounderKirsty Jordan, is the Director and Founder of both Therapy and Education Collaboration Ltd and Abundance TEC Ltd, running two private therapy practices in addition to offering training. A fully qualified professional therapist specialising in clinical hypnotherapy, hypno-analysis and psychotherapy, education consultant, teacher and coaching professional, Kirsty also holds qualifications in Lego therapy and Grief therapy.
After witnessing first hand in the education sector an increase in mental health needs for young people and their families, Kirsty decided to retrain to offer therapy and support that can empower clients. With over 15 years in the education industry, experience as a teacher of Social Sciences, including Sociology and Psychology she fully understands the well-being needs for adults and children.
Kirsty has also been successful with consultancy work in the education sector, and progressed to Senior Leadership before deciding to retrain so she could support individuals through therapy and coaching. She has a wealth of experience working with young people, parents and carers, and leading and managing teams. She has been successful in coaching and facilitating the self-growth of colleagues in the education industry and young people and have also trained to be able to offer individual and group therapy sessions and workshops to children and adults.
She has held many roles in the education sector to date, working in both FE and Secondary Schools, including being an Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Head of Sixth Form, Head of Faculty, Curriculum Leader, a Teaching and Learning Lead as well as overseeing Teacher Training including: SCITT, PGCE and Teach First programmes, where I was able to share my own passion for pedagogy and experience to date with the next generation of teachers and coach colleagues. She has also been very fortunate to work as an Education Consultant and have worked for PiXL6 and other organisations, delivering national Sociology conferences and sharing resources and knowledge.
A parent herself she understands the demands facing not just the education industry, but the pressure on parents and students. She offers innovative and engaging training to tailor to the needs’ of all organisations, and to place young people and staff well-being at the forefront.
